Hello everyone, welcome to General Measure's channel.

In this video, we will demonstrate the theoretical calibration of the four-channel weighing indicator GMT-H4.

Usually, the calibration of weighing instruments can choose weight calibration or weight-free (theoretical) calibration. Weight-free calibration is convenient in the industrial field, solving the problem of difficult operation of large weight calibration.

There are three steps in theoretical calibration.

  1. Weight parameters setting
  2. Load cell parameters setting
  3. Calibration verification

Firstly, we set the parameters of the unit, decimal point, division value, and weight range.

Unit setting: select【211 unit】; there are g, kg, t, and lb that can be chosen. After inputting the password, we can set the unit regarding the application request and press【ENTER】to confirm.

Decimal point setting: select【212 decimal point】; five different values can be chosen. You can choose what you need here and press【ENTER】to confirm.

Division value setting: select【213 division value】; there are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 that can be chosen. After select the proper division value and press【ENTER】to confirm.

Weight range setting: select【214 weight range】; usually, we set it as the maximum weight of the weighing system but do not exceed the load cell total capacity. In this interface, the instrument will prompt the message. Here, we just input the load cell total capacity and press【ENTER】to confirm.

Then, we carry on the second step: set load cell parameters.

First, press【ENTER】and the right button to scale parameter interface. Select weight parameters and switch to【215 theoretical calibration】, press【Enter】. This indicates whether we are currently using weight or weight-free calibration. Select ON to choose theoretical calibration (weight-free). Then press【ESC】back to the scale parameter interface and select load cell parameters.

Here we can choose “Quick Setup” or “Individual Channel Setup”. GMT-H4 is a four-channel instrument, so we can set the value of each channel individually according to the load cell label; while the Quick Setup is to input the average value of all current load cells’ parameters. This may affect the accuracy, so we recommend using “Individual Channel Setup”.

Next, we will demonstrate how to set each channel's load cell parameters (sensitivity and weight range).

(Pay attention: the sensitivity of each load cell is different; please refer to the load cell label. )

On the load cell parameter interface, select channel 1, press【Enter】to input the sensitivity according to the label, and press【Enter】to confirm. Then, input the weight capacity of channel 1, according to the label, we set it to 50 kg, and press【Enter】to confirm. Follow the above steps to finish setting the load cell parameters for all channels.

The load cell parameter setting is completed.

Now comes the third step: calibration verification.

Press【ESC】back to the main page and press the left button to find calibration and select【11 zero calibration】. Wait until the scale is stable, input the password and press【ENTER】to finish zero calibration. Next, press【ESC】back to the main page and put a 2kg weight on the scale. We can see the indicator shows 2k, then add a 1kg weight. It shows 3kg, which means the calibration succeeded.

Here are all the processes of theoretical calibration. Please check the video for more details.

In the next video, we will demonstrate the alarm record review and operation of GMT-H4.
