Hello everyone, welcome to General Measure's channel.

Today we will demonstrate the function of emergency use of GMT-H4 when load cell is damaged.

After the four load cells are connected to the GMT-H4 and calibrated well (refer to the video of GMT-H4 Calibration), we can see the indicator shows 20.0kg, and all channels display properly. But, if the OLED screen shows channel 1: EX disconnected, it means the load cell of channel 1 may have been damaged.

If the load cell is damaged, in order to maintain the temporary use, we can turn on the weight compensation of the corresponding channel in the instrument, so that the instrument can compensate the weight according to the linearity of the previous calibration.

Press ENTER on the main page, press down arrow to choose [13 weight compensation] and press ENTER. Then choose [134 weight compensation channel]. We can open the channel according to the actual situation of the load cell. Here the channel 1 is damaged, so we set channel 1 as ✔ after input the password. Press ENTER to confirm, then press ESC to return to the main interface.

After the channel compensation is opened, the weight is restored to 20.0kg, and the weight of channel 1 is 5.0kg, which means that the damaged load cell has been compensated for the weight and can be used temporally. Press the right button to see the voltage, pressure, internal code that will prompt channel 1 “load cell damage, please replace it”. Thus, we recommend to check the wiring of the load cell, or replace it ASAP in order to ensure the linearity. That’s all for the function of GMT-H4 emergency use demonstration.
